This means we accept all risks associated with stress, health, and packaging related to shipping live fish.
We use the highest quality of materials and select only the safest shipping options with reputable carriers.
Our carriers not only are equipped to ship our fish alive and healthy but they also offer insurance options which cover the full cost of the delivery in case your package becomes lost.
On a rare occasion we may have fish arrive dead due to unforeseen circumstances or unknown causes.
When this occurs we ask that the customer contact us with a first report of dead on arrival (DOA).
Once DOA has been reported the customer will receive instructions to ensure the fish is not revivable.
Proof of DOA may also be requested on a case to case basis.
Once DOA has been confirmed a refund will be issued typically within 24 hours of first report.
Lost packages should be reported to carrier in order to file an insurance claim.
Please note that all costs associated with shipping are non-refundable for both SQA and SQA customers regardless of discounts.
Other options such as replacing DOA fish may be available upon request.
